Give Workflows a better sense of time
Use relative time in conditions and actions, then organize growing automation libraries with folders.
A closer look
What changed
Datetime conditions can compare a field with a moving point in time, such as four hours after now, five minutes before another field, or within five days of a date. The Workflows manage page also supports folders for grouping related Workflows.
Why it matters
Relative time keeps conditions reusable as dates change. Folders make larger Workflow libraries easier to browse without changing how the Workflows themselves run.
How to use it
- 1For relative time, select a datetime condition and choose Relative Time as the value mode.
- 2Choose whether the value is more than, less than, or within an offset.
- 3Set the amount, unit, direction, and optional date field that should act as the anchor.
- 4On the Workflows manage page, create folders and move Workflows into the appropriate group.
Example
Find shifts that begin within the next four hours, then keep scheduling and onboarding Workflows in separate folders for quicker access.
Availability
Available to eligible accounts with Workflows access. Relative time applies to datetime fields. Folder controls appear in the Workflows manage area.
Ask Customer SuccessGood to know
- Within creates a two sided window around the selected time and does not require a before or after direction.
- If the compared field or anchor field is empty, the condition evaluates as false.
- Deleting a folder keeps its Workflows and returns them to Uncategorized.
Step by step guides
