Schedule Workflows to run automatically
Start a Workflow once or on a recurring schedule, without waiting for a record to change.
A closer look
What changed
A Workflow can start from a schedule instead of waiting for a record event. Choose a one time date and time, or set a daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly recurrence. Scheduled Workflows use the account timezone.
Why it matters
Teams can automate routine work at a predictable time, including reminders, reports, and recurring operational checks, without creating a separate record change to start the process.
How to use it
- 1Create or edit a Workflow and choose a Schedule trigger.
- 2Select Recurring or One time.
- 3For a recurring schedule, choose the cadence and time. For a one time schedule, choose the exact date and time.
- 4Add actions that do not require a triggering record, verify the Workflow, and publish it.
Example
Run a weekly manager reminder every Monday morning, or schedule a one time announcement before an upcoming event.
Availability
Available to eligible accounts with Workflows access. The options shown in your account depend on its current Workflow configuration.
Ask Customer SuccessGood to know
- Actions that require a triggering record are identified in the editor when used with a Schedule trigger.
- A published schedule can fire. Pausing the Workflow stops future scheduled runs.
