How the Pitman Schedule Generator works.

A Pitman schedule is a common four crew continuous coverage pattern that repeats a 2 2 3 cadence across day and night shifts. A fixed shift version keeps each crew on days or nights throughout the displayed cycle.

The calendar makes the alternating weekends and changing weekly hours visible. The crew matrix helps operators check that the phase offsets maintain continuous coverage.
