Documents

The Documents table stores files that have a lifecycle — issue dates, expirations, owners, and review states. Licenses, certifications, background checks, contracts, and handbook acknowledgements all live here so compliance can be filtered, automated, and reported.

Key fields

Owner

Link to the User the document belongs to.

Issue date

When the document was issued or verified.

Expiration date

The date compliance workflows and reminders key on.

Status

Valid, Expired, Missing, or In review.

File

The attached upload, readable by AI document analysis.
