Shifts

The Shifts table stores scheduled work. Each record is one shift with its time, role, location, assignee, and status — the record most scheduling, attendance, and payroll workflows run on.

Where you see this

On the Select Workspace Table screen when creating a new workspace. The table decides which fields, filters, tabs, and actions the page can use.

What it stores

Records that live in this table

Open shifts that need coverage and requested shifts awaiting approval.
Filled shifts with an assigned worker and confirmation state.
Attendance signals: late clock-in, early clock-out, no-show, missing clock-out.
Completed and cancelled shifts kept for payroll, billing, and reporting.

Key fields

The schema most accounts start with

Fields can be added, renamed, or permissioned per access group. These are the ones workflows and workspaces typically depend on — see column types for everything a field can be.

Start and end time

The scheduled window, with actual clock-in and clock-out alongside it.

Role

Link to the Job Role the shift requires.

Location

Link to the site or facility where the work happens.

Assignee

Link to the User working the shift; empty means the shift is open.

Status

Open, Requested, Filled, Completed, or Cancelled.

Client

The client or facility the shift is worked for, used in billing.
